Way too much knowledge is presumed by the author. In the next version, please use a larger font size at least 12 point! Please note that these icons need to be a good size! Blow them up, please and truly identify them. Plus, start each chapter and subject area by telling us what the thing is you are talking about.
Again, the author presumes too much. If I knew as much as she presumes, I probably would not have needed to purchase the book. I am quite familiar with software - including the adobe family. I am not a super expert but I can find my way around. This book it was clearly written by a bunch of technocrats that assume you are familiar with terms after mentioning them once. Most of the illustrations are between 'hard to understand' and 'useless'. Quite a few if them are printed so small they are literally not readable.
I have already given up trying to navigate my way through all the lessons because I simply cannot work it out. Generally the dryness of the overall instruction will make your head spin. This book may teach you some basics of InDesign. But do not expect this to be a fun or joyful learning experience. Generally I find this book very frustrating.
